CBP ACE Updates

On February 24, 2016, the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 was signed to increase the capabilities of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This act contains changes to the drawback program and allows for a two-year implementation period. CBP deployed Core and Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act (TFTEA) drawback in ACE on February 24, 2018. The ACE Deployment G, Release 4 marks a historic milestone where the importing and exporting process can be in a “single window.” To keep the trade updated on related issues, CBP released these CSMS messages:

  • 18-000139 (2/15/2018) CBP will no longer offer blanket flagging for underlying entries
  • 18-000140 (2/15/2018) Deployment G, Release 4 Details
  • 18-000143 (2/16/2018) Drawback interim guidance posted to CBP.gov
  • 18-000148 (2/21/2018) G4 Cutover Plans for Recon, Statements for Recon, and Drawback posted to CBP.gov
  • 18-000160 (2/22/2018) Deployment G4, Support Calls Information and U9 Status Message Update. Additionally, ACE will decrement Drawback eBonds when Accelerated Payment (AP) is requested. An eBond bond status will be sent to the sureties.
  • 18-000164 (2/26/2018) Updated Drawback CATAIR and Error Dictionary Posted to CBP.gov
  • 18-000178 (2/27/2018) CBP deployed fixes to the Drawback application
  • 18-000184 (3/1/2018) TFTEA Drawback Policy Update
  • 18-000190 (3/2/2018) Incomplete Drawback Claims filed in ACS prior to 2/24/18
  • 18-000199 (3/5/2018) ACE Deployment G4 Issue Tracker - 3/5 Update
