“Avalon started our Avalon Compassion Team (appropriately dubbed “ACT”) at the suggestion of employees who were inspired by our company’s contributions to charities during the holidays. The employees wanted to do more themselves, and ACT was established with a mission “to serve our community with compassion and ACT on behalf of others to make a difference.”

It has been my privilege to serve as the advising partner for ACT since its inception. ACT members voluntarily give generously of their time, talents, and resources, and they inspire other employees to participate in any way they can during ACT events. There’s no pressure to participate, and it is heartwarming to see how many employees do."

Avalon has a long-standing tradition for supporting nationwide charities during times of crisis and great need, we find that our local ACT efforts provide our employees with the most satisfaction.

There is no greater joy for our employees to know that they are helping their neighbors and friends in need, helping children with toy drives and backpacks full of school supplies, supporting our troops, and more.
