CBP Launches Forced Labor Portal

January 22, 2026 Avalon

business portal

On January 21, CBP launched its new Forced Labor Portal, which is a centralized location for importers to submit review requests for shipments detained or excluded for forced labor enforcement. So far in fiscal year 2026, CBP has stopped almost 1,200 shipments for forced labor actions valued at nearly $75 million dollars. This highlights the importance of effective enforcement tools such as this portal.

It is now mandatory to use the Forced Labor Portal to submit the following:

  • Withhold Release Order/Finding admissibility reviews
  • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act applicability reviews
  • Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act requests for exception; and
  • Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act exception requests

CBP has provided resources such as an instructional “how to” guide and video on their Forced Labor website. A recorded webinar will be forthcoming according to CSMS Message #67466320.

Any questions regarding the portal can be sent to ForcedLabor@cbp.dhs.gov.
