Dierdre Hudson is the Vice President of Avalon’s Western Region and is responsible for overseeing the region’s sales efforts and managing the sales team. Deirdre started at Avalon in 2002 as an Account Executive and later became a Regional Vice President of the San Francisco and Seattle territories. Deirdre has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry with an emphasis in transportation, working with truckers, freight forwarders and property brokers. Prior to joining Avalon, she worked for a well-known international freight forwarder for more than 7 years. This opportunity allowed her to gain valuable expertise in the insurance industry as well as an understanding of the freight side of the business. Deirdre is active in the industry, and she participates in various associations such as Air Forwarders Association, CBFANC, CBIFFAWS. She is currently on the board of directors for the Express Carriers Association.
In her free time, Deirdre enjoys spending time with her grandson and two granddaughters. She also enjoys golfing with friends and attending live concerts.
