Chris Wade is the Vice President of National Accounts for Avalon Risk Management. She joined Avalon as one of its first employees in 1998 and began working as Regional Vice President of the company’s Chicago regional office. After four years, her skills and experience were instrumental in establishing Avalon’s National Accounts Department. Chris and her staff provide dedicated service to Avalon’s largest and most complex third-party logistics customers.
Chris is a licensed insurance producer and has over 35 years of experience in providing surety and insurance solutions to the logistics industry. Prior to joining Avalon, she began her career in the Bond Claims Department for a surety company. She then became the Bond Manager at the Chicago office of an insurance agency specializing in the broker/forwarder industry. Through the years, Chris has built strong relationships with our largest customers and she has provided impeccable service that is tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Her extensive knowledge of the customs broker and freight forwarder industry coupled with her expertise in surety and commercial insurance makes Chris the ideal leader for our National Accounts team.
Chris is an active member of several trade associations including the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA), Northern Border Customs Brokers Association (NBCBA) and Pacific Coast Council (PCC). Chris enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with her family and friends and gets to the beach as often as possible.
