Four rising professionals in the transportation and logistics industry will attend the 2026 TIA Capital Ideas Conference in Phoenix next month thanks to scholarships from Avalon.
Since 2008, Avalon has awarded over 65 scholarships to support first-time attendees to the conference, enabling them to participate in dynamic networking opportunities and educational sessions. These scholarships reflect our commitment to fostering personal growth and advancing knowledge across our industry.
As a Platinum Sponsor, Avalon is honored to recognize this year’s scholarship recipients:
• Matthew Churchman, Frontline Logistics
• Tim Golden, Advanced Shipping Technologies
• Olga Yaroshenko, Shram Logistics
• Luc Scudellari, Southern Reins Logistics
Each recipient is looking forward to gaining new insights and connections that will support their continued development within the industry. Here’s what they hope to gain from the conference:
Matthew shares “The sessions and discussions [at the conference] will help refine my understanding of industry challenges and emerging trends, while reinforcing a commitment to continuous improvement. Ultimately, this experience will better equip me to contribute thoughtfully, responsibly, and effectively to the transportation and logistics industry as my career progresses.”
Tim comments, “Attending the TIA conference would allow me to see the broader landscape of transportation intermediaries, including current challenges, regulatory considerations, and emerging trends. Gaining this context will help me connect daily execution with strategic industry objectives, enabling me to add more value in my current role while building a stronger foundation for future career advancement.”
Olga says, “The conference’s educational sessions will provide an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced leaders and explore real-world case studies. Meeting industry professionals from different companies and backgrounds would allow me to exchange ideas, ask questions, and gain insights into various challenges and solutions.”
Luc points out, “The logistics landscape continues to evolve rapidly, and understanding emerging tools, systems, and strategies will allow me to remain proactive rather than reactive. Exposure to different approaches and strategies will broaden my understanding of our industry and provide fresh ideas that I can apply in my role.”
The Avalon team is looking forward to meeting them in Phoenix next month.
