Wanda Sample is Regional Vice President for Avalon Risk Management’s New York office. She joined Avalon in August of 2002 and has more than 25 years of experience in the customs broker and freight forwarder arenas.
Wanda began her career at Avalon as Marketing Manager and was later promoted to Director of Trade Relations to manage Avalon’s trade affairs and relationships with key industry organizations including the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) and Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA).
Prior to joining Avalon, Wanda worked for 17 years at F.W. Myers & Co., a national customs broker and freight forwarder. As Risk Coordinator for F.W. Myers, Wanda handled surety bonds, cargo insurance, professional liability, property and casualty, and other corporate insurance products. Additionally, she conducted compliance audits at various regional offices throughout the United States.
Wanda is actively involved in the trade community and serves on the Board of the Air & Expeditor Motor Carriers Association (AEMCA), Long Island Import Export Association (LIIEA), and The Semantics. She serves on the membership committee of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones (NAFTZ), and is a member of JFK Brokers Association and NYNJFFFBA. Wanda obtained her MBA from Clarkson University.
Carli Gallagher is the Assistant Vice President for Avalon Risk Management’s New York office. Carli joined Avalon in 2007 as an Account Executive eager to assimilate and contribute to the logistics industry. With 15 years of invaluable experience, Carli delivers expertise and solutions to her clients, while always focusing on relationships and integrity. She also dedicates her time to training and mentoring her colleagues, to aid in Avalon’s overall growth and sales efforts.
As a graduate of Michigan State University, Carli has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. She is a licensed insurance broker and further expanded her proficiency by earning the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor. She is an active member of several trade organizations including the JFK Airport Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association and the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association.
Jennifer Fragale is an Account Executive in Avalon Risk Management’s New York office with 6 years of experience serving the logistics insurance industry. When Jennifer began her career, her primary focus was selling surety bonds to Licensed Customs Brokers. Through Avalon’s comprehensive programs, she has expanded her expertise to provide both surety and insurance solutions to all sectors of the logistics industry. She dedicates herself to establishing strong and meaningful client relationships, further expanding business transactions into profound partnerships. Prior to entering the logistics field, she worked in Human Resources as an Equity Compensation Analyst for a major financial institution and lead internal enhancement initiatives to strengthen employee relationships and comradery.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University and is a licensed insurance broker. She is currently working to obtain her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in order to further enhance her insurance expertise. She is an active member of multiple trade associations, including the JFK Airport Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association and the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association.
