Avalon Presents the 2017 NEI CES Scholarship Winner

Avalon Risk Management is a proud sponsor of the NCBFAA Educational Institute’s (NEI) Certified Export Specialist (CES) Scholarship. Each year this scholarship is awarded to a recipient who has participated in the CES certification program and has received the top score on the final exam. The winner is provided the chance to attend the NCBFAA Annual Conference and experience first-hand the educational sessions and networking opportunities it provides. The scholarship funds provided by Avalon include accommodations and airfare. NCBFAA waives the conference registration fee for scholarship recipients.

This year’s scholarship award went to Patricia Niemann of FedEx Trade Networks. We congratulate her on receiving a score of 100% on her final exam. Lisa Gelsomino, Avalon’s President/CEO, presented her with the certification of recognition during the opening breakfast at this year’s NCBFAA annual conference in New Orleans, LA.

Patricia manages one of the FedEx Trade Networks’ operational teams for which compliance is at the forefront of all operations and procedures. With a strong focus on complying with U.S. Customs and Participating Government Agencies laws and regulations, education and training is paramount to success in the industry. Through her continued education, she is afforded the opportunity to facilitate learning and growth within her team, thus expanding their knowledge and increasing career performance.

“One of Avalon’s core values is personal growth and knowledge. We enjoy partnering with NEI to provide this scholarship award and take pride in the valuable talent it helps bring to the industry,” stated Lisa Gelsomino, who presents the scholarship awards at NCBFAA each year.

Avalon is proud to help members of our industry grow through furthering education. If you are interested in learning more about NEI and its programs and scholarship offerings, please contact nei@ncbfaa.org.
