Avalon Expands with New Office in Phoenix, AZ
Avalon Risk Management is pleased to announce the opening of its newest location in Phoenix, AZ. Deirdre Hudson, Regional Vice President, will manage the new office. Deirdre, who has been with Avalon since 2002, will continue to oversee the San Francisco and Seattle offices as well.
Deirdre has more than 27 years of experience working with the logistics community in different capacities. Before joining Avalon in 2002, she worked for one of the world's largest customs broker/freight forwarding companies, Kuehne + Nagel, for seven years.
Deirdre has been instrumental in the growth of Avalon's client base in the San Francisco region. In 2013, her role expanded as she took on the management of the Seattle territory. Her dedicated staff will continue to provide the same expert level of service that clients in the San Francisco and Seattle regions have come to know. Avalon will now have personnel in all three locations to serve our clients. You can download the Western Division's contact list here.
"Deirdre and her team have a detailed understanding of the broker and forwarder industry. This tremendous knowledge makes them invaluable to Avalon and our clients" stated Keith Sanchez, Divisional Vice President. "Deirdre brings to the Phoenix office experience and the ability to provide top-notch service to our clients no matter what sector of the international or domestic trade and transportation industry they are involved in. I am confident she will be successful in growing the Phoenix office.”
Avalon's President, Lisa Gelsomino, states, “We are grateful to be expanding our national footprint with a new office in Phoenix as a growing hub for transportation. We can’t think of a better person for the job than Deirdre Hudson, who continues to provide the highest level of expertise and personalized service to our clients nationwide. We thank our customers for their continued support that allows us to thrive during these challenging times.”
Avalon's West Coast offices remain actively involved in the trade community and work closely with many local and national trade associations such as all five associate members of the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association (PCC). Other associations include Women in Logistics, Harbor Transportation Club of Northern California, and the Agricultural Transportation Coalition. Deirdre Hudson is always willing to give back to the industry, such as her dedicated service on the board of the Express Carriers Association. She looks forward to continued engagement in these associations and new connections in the Phoenix area.
