NCBFAA 33rd Annual Conference

At the 33rd National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ, members discussed various security-related changes under the theme “Our Evolving Role in the International Marketplace.”

Various panelists spoke on important trade issues such as the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and export controls.

Avalon was proud to be the co-sponsor of the NCBFAA 2007 Golf Tournament held Sunday at the Devil’s Claw course. It was an enjoyable day for the players even though no one made a hole-in-one. Avalon sponsored Tuesday night’s Western Themed Dinner and attendees enjoyed a Western celebration of cowboy cuisine and line dancing. Each guest received a scroll at dinner that contained a lucky number for a $500 American Express gift card. The lucky winner was Michel Vallee from UPS.
