To Our Valued Clients:

This year marks Avalon Risk Management, Inc.’s ten year anniversary. Our entire organization is proud of Avalon’s success over these first ten years and we thank you for making this possible.

As one of Avalon’s first employees, it is with much emotion that I announce my leaving the organization to assume the role of President & CEO of another Kingsway company, Lincoln General Insurance Company. Lincoln is the only insurer recognized as an NCBFAA “Preferred Provider”. As sister companies, Avalon and Lincoln have always worked closely together to develop premier products for the broker/forwarder, 3PL, truck, courier, and other specialty transportation industries. I look forward to further strengthening this partnership in my new role.

Avalon’s Executive Vice President, Lisa Gelsomino, is succeeding me and will assume responsibilities as President effective immediately. Lisa was also one of Avalon’s first employees, originally opening our New York office. During the past ten years, Lisa’s expertise and dedication were invaluable to our growth and continued success. She is a proven leader and has a great appreciation for the important contribution that everyone on Avalon’s team makes to the organization and our clients. I am proud to have Lisa take on this new role and know that under her guidance, Avalon will reach new heights.

People have always been at the core of Avalon’s success. We are fortunate to have an excellent group of employees and strong management teams in our corporate and regional offices. Avalon remains committed to supporting our network of regional offices to provide local service and expertise to our valued clients. This year marked not only Avalon’s ten-year anniversary, but also the opening of our tenth regional office in Charleston, SC. I know the many extraordinary people working with Lisa will continue to build upon Avalon’s success.
