Clarification to ACH
Transmissions due by the 10th day

As issued by Sherri L. Hoffman, CBP, Chief, Entry and Drawback Management:

The transmission to CBP must be complete by the 10th day regardless of method of payment. All summaries and payments are still due on the 10th day. The additional 2 days, to the 12th day, is simply for CBP to pull the money for ACH payors. The legislation makes the process that we have always had with ACH legal. There truly is no difference to the trade and it doesn’t matter what method of payment you are utilizing. The data still must be transmitted to CBP by the 10th day or they are late.
